These idiots from the LA Times call twice a day. Luckily I have Google Voice so the calls never make it to my phone and the voicemails (or lack thereof) go straight to a spam folder.
A big WARNING: Don't make the mistake of taking them up on any offer of "8 complimentary weeks of the Sunday Times as our appreciation for you as a former customer", because you'll end up getting a bill in the mail. I don't know if it was the dude that lied to me on the phone telling me three separate times that the 8 weeks were free without obligation or a bill, or if it's the LA Times' new fraudulent policy to lie to people on the phone in order to get them on the hook for issues that were never ordered.
I got the bill but sent a strongly worded email telling them I'd publicize their scam all over social media if they send me another bill (for $8, surprise surprise!). They responded 3 days later telling me sorry and to disregard the bill. But now they're trying to reach me again. Screw these guys, they're not the same LA Times my dad subscribed to for decades.
