same scan from previous phone numbers. any legitimate business will not scramble their phone number on the caller id. report the phone number and so-called "Mike Anderson" to the FTC and FBI for further investigation. this scam is being repeated from different phone numbers.
Wednesday they left a message to call; I didn't. Today, the "Officer John Unintelligible" persona called, said a relatve was in trouble and I should straighten it out. I said I didn't give a [***], and hung up. No more news as of today (23 April 2010).
Some one by the name of John Smith called and said it was a legal matter. The police and him would be at my house tomorrow to arrest me. He had the last four digits of my social secutiy number. What do I do?
