My husband has recieved a call from these people to it was a woman with a indian accent and a male as well those are the only two people we have had contact. They call the house telling us my husbands last 4 social security number and saying we need to call back to find out what is going on with this and if we dont respond we will be in very big trouble(what debt collector says that) we thought it was a scam but then they called 1 of my friends and said that if my husband does not return there call we would be in very big trouble. My husband called them back and was trying to figure out what they want and what company we supposoly owe and they would not let him talk or tell him any info at all, so my husband called them out and called them scammers and hung up on him. We recieved 1 more call the next day from the lady again stating the same thing that we would be in trouble, we did not respond and have had no calls since. I believe this is a huge scam and I am pissed they got my husbands info off the internet and they are calling our friends. I wish there was something I could do to catch these people.
I got a call a few months back from a guy with an Indian accent and a 310 area code. He said he wishes me luck and that the cops were going to get me for a past debt. I went crazy looking at my old bank statments because I did recieve past pay day loans but I have always paid them back. Long story short it was a scam. On Monday I had the same type of call to my job but using the number listed above. He said the same thing which I told him ok we can see each other at court. He has not called back but I am not going to let these a@##holes drive me crazy.
