Left this vooice mail: "Change attorney of record to return the call the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. Please call us immediately on 213-590-4986. I repeat 213-590-4986. Thank you." Scam!
Got a call from 213-59-4986. I didn't pick up the call, left voice message was : "IRS is filing Lawsuit against you, the issue at hand is extremely time sensitive. Please call us immediately on 213-590-4986. I repeat 213-590-4986. Thank you."
This is scam, I would like to report this but don't know whom to report it. Can somebody suggest me anything about this?
The easiest way to deal with it is to completely disregard. It may not do much good reporting it since the caller is likely overseas, hiding behind a dummy number. If they're able to get a live voice, they may become confident the right words will scare you enough so you'll fork out money for a bogus debt and continue calling. Without any kind of answer from your number, the callers are unable to leave any threats, therefore they waste time. These thieves know they're breaking the law so they'll use fake numbers to prevent tracing. They've got a plethora of numbers at their disposal, but of this particular one strikes again when you're around, you should be able to shut down the machine to stop them in the act.
