Received call at 11;50 am telling me some one had paid for a Medical Alert System for me and also paid for the shipping. Said press 1 for delivery. I did and when David answered ask for my name and address for delivery.
I told him he called me and why did he not know my name and address. He told me I was being rude and to call him back when I was in a better mood and then hung up on me.
Scammer tells you an electronic Medical Alert system is being shipped to you and is already paid for. They want you to press 1 to accept the shipment. When you try to say something the idiot keeps talking so it's a taped conversation. They try to make it sound like an actual person on the other end. I just hung up. What bothers me is that I got a call about 1/2 hour before and they said they'd like to speak with (my name) and I said "yes?". Then a hang up. I'm never acknowledging with "Yes" again, as I believe they can somehow use that to authorize something. Getting older and wiser...
