I think the people calling are from an Online College... I tryied looking for a Job resently & they basically wouldn't get off the phone until I said they could send info. & someone could call... BUT I did not realized theses [***] Holes would keep calling instead of leaving a message like I told the guy to do & if I was really interested I would call them back
they have called me 30 times just today and 30 times within 48 hrs couple days ago. its pissing me off. ive answered one and it was about some college bs but its prolly a scam thing so I hung up. im seriously thinking about going off on these ppl the next time im available when they call...
EASY FIX IF YOU HAVE AN ANDROID - So, I have been getting calls from this number for the past week or so. Normally, I can't hear anyone on the other end, so I usually hang up. Today, however, I stayed on the line a little longer and got someone saying "Hello." I said, "Why are you saying hello? You called me." The person asked for what sounded like my name, however, I did have some fun with it by asking them to repeat it a few more times, pretending like I couldn't tell what they were saying - this literally lasted for about 4 miunutes. Then I said, "Oh, them. No I think you have the wrong number." The person then simply hung up. Assuming that this won't be the last call I recieve from this number, I found an application for my Android called Mr. Number that will block numbers, text messages, etc. from those that you don't want to reach you. Pretty simple to use, hope this helps some of you that are having similar issues.
I believe that they are scam artists trying to obtain personal information from you. Whatever they are up to, it is no good. They probably got your information online. Some of these cons are very good at what they do, but never give out any information to them. I do not mean for this comment to sound racist in any way, but they usually have accents. My advice is to change your number or get anonymous call rejection or some type of block.
