I think the people calling are from an Online College... I tryied looking for a Job resently & they basically wouldn't get off the phone until I said they could send info. & someone could call... BUT I did not realized theses [***] Holes would keep calling instead of leaving a message like I told the guy to do & if I was really interested I would call them back
ok i had two calls from them today thursday 03/10/11 one at 2:06 and another at 4:35 i was in class so i didnt pick up but i called it back and i heard no ring tone then connected and hung up. jus as everyone else above me has said has happened to them. im also on the do not call list and if it lowes i doubt that they wouldnt have left a message. companies ALWAYS leave some kind of a message.
I don't even own a phone! But I have a phone number that goes to my email...yet I've only given it out to two very close friends (who have probably forgotten it by now since I don't use it).
I've gotten two from this number in the past week, no message, same as everyone.
This is from online schools. I was checking into go back to school online and recieved calls from a handful of schools I requested information on almost imediately. There also have been calls from this number and another wanting to find out what I wanted to major in and would transfer me to another number to get me in contact with an enrolment advisor. Very annoying after a while. Never use any online comparison sites or survays, very bad idea. My number is a landline, it doesn't matter if you have skype, landline, or cell. If your number has ever been filled into a survey expect to get calls. Even if you never entered a number into a survey another person can, I know I worked with Sprint and Nextel as well as At&t and the old Cingular companies and this problem has continued for a long time. I suggest that you place your number into the Do Not call List for landlines and cell phones. Link on bottom. If they still call answer them and speak to a supervisor immediately and ask to be removed from there list. If your number is on a do not call list they can not resell your number. For more information I recieved a call from University of Phenix and am intrested to follow up with them. they said they could have a hard time calling back because my number is on the do not call list and asked my permission to continue with the application process once my FAFSA's went through. These companies can not call you you unless you give them permission. Also if you are still being harrased you can file a complaint from the same people who have the Do Not Call List. The Number is from Los Angeles California. Don't freak out just be smart.
