Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
They claim to be from the Department of Treasury saying it is the final notice before a lean is put on your house. The person's name to call is Judy Smith. I goggled department of treasury Judy smith which took me to this site with a different telephone number
They called me at 7:46 am and left a message. Badly recorded mechanical voice, misspoken words, doesn't say WHO the call is actually for, also left the name of Judy Smith. When I returned the call it was answered by someone with a heavy accent and the conection was terrible.
Jack Wilson (fake name) called saying he was from the US Treasury Dept. and the I was going to be arrested for multiple tax evasion charges. It sounded very official, gave me the charges, case #, etc. He sent me down to the local shopping center to get a form for the IRS to pay them what he said I owed. When I got there he sent me into Safeway to buy gift cards for almost $2,000.00. This raised a big red flag to me. I said I was going to go talk to the Highway Patrol outside. He then said I couldn't discuss this with anyone and he just initiated a 60 second count down where a warranty for my arrest would be issued and my local Sheriff would come out to my house to arrest me. The Highway Patrol said it looked like a scam. I went to the Sheriff's office, they said it was a scam and I didn't have a warrant.
When got home I called him back, surprisingly he answered but wouldn't admit he was Jack Wilson until I called him out on his scam. He then said ha-ha this is Jack Wilson and began saying he was f _ _ _ _ _ _ my mother, Americans are stupid and dirty, to suck his d _ _ _ , and many other things, etc. We cussed back and forth for about 10 minutes until I had to hang up to get my kid at school. He even called back as I was heading out the door but I couldn't answer.
Like you I was being scammed by his name is Jacskon, and a naive person He had scammed out out 2895. I just lost that money but what I am more upset is that I didn't realized I'm not the only he has done this to. Not only did he scams me and make threatening phone calls. I called him back and he never answer instead of voicemail. What a slime ball!
