Criminals are using Heywire.com phone numbers like this to con people out of thousands of dollars. This is a Text only number and the con artist says by text they will buy your craigslist item at your price. They will pay by PayPal (,or sometimes its Cashier check). Then after several back and forth texts to gain your confidence they text they will add an extra $900 for their mover who will pick up the item. After you receive the PayPal funds you are to wire transfer the $900 to the mover. Somehow they are then able to cancel the PayPal funds and then you are out the $900 mover funds that you sent off. Then they disappear and there is no way to track them from the Heywire.com text number they used. I don't think Haywire are criminals but the con artist can hide behind the temporary assigned number. I think they are scamming hundreds of thousands of dollars.

This phone number (213) 788-9449 has also been contacting me about buying my Craig's list item, they said that due to the nature of their work they cannot call us, everything is text only and they only want to deal with pay pal, this sounded suspicious to me so I googled the number and found this! I'm so glad I found this post or else I would of got scammed too!!! Thank you for posting and sharing your experience to help avoid people like me in get taken advantage of, I'm sorry to hear that you got scammed and I hope one day they can find these criminals and lock them up!
I agree with the above. Had an ad in Craigslist, they offered full price (sight unseen) and said it was a "surprise" and they would send movers to come get it. Would only go through Paypal, because they can get their money refunded after their "movers" come and take your item(s). BEWARE!
