On Aug. 24, 2010 I recieved a phone call from a woman could not understand her, so I asked to speak with someone who talked English, so she transfrerred me to a Peter Scott staing that I owed a cash loan in the amount of $5000, from Oct. 22, 2008. Said they deposited $500 in my account on Oct. 22, 2008, I told him as I checked my account for that year, day and month, to no avail, there was no such transaction on that bank statement. They had my personal information at hand, even down to the IP number of the computer I was supposed to have used in filling out the application. He told me I would be seeing the police in the morning. Any place I recieved a loan from was always able to get their money back through direct withdrawal from my account.
I got a call from a local number and when I call it back 336-268-0003 it was disconnected. The caller left the number 213-799-0939. He is claiming I owe money and they are coming to my company to arrest me. I have received numerous calls over the past 4 mths. I would like to know how to make this top?
Received 26 calls from this number back-to-back! First call, individual "Mark" explained that my mother had listed me as a reference for a check advance loan. Caller said the balance had been unpaid since 2008, and the police would be there to pick her up in 3 hours filing 3 criminal charges against her. I, naturally, asked why the caller had not simply taken the money out of her bank account in 2008 because that's how check advances work... you write a check to be cashed by the company on your payday. Caller then became abusive. Started calling me an "ignorant American s**t," told me to tell Obama he was an "ignorant n word," and then threatened to rape my child and send her into slavery. I called my local police department and filed a report with them as well as the FTC. Later, I found out this caller had also called my grandmother (86 years old) and told her the police would be arresting HER for my mother's outstanding debt, and would be at her door in 10 minutes.
Just an FYI, this number is fraudulent. They are not calling from California, they are calling from Antigua and they are phishing for identity info. Please do not give anyone at this number your personal information. I hope this helps.
Keeps calling my cell phone and my work number telling me that I will lose my job and they will take me to court if I don't pay $1463.00. I finally told them that they needed to send me some documentation and the guy Kurt Wagner tells me that they don't have to send me any information and that they will see me in court. He started yelling and cussing when I questioned him about the law firm and where they were located. He has a very thick accent. The last phone call I received from him I told him that I knew this was a scam and he started calling me a black, [***], etc. I told him that was very unprofessional and I hung up. He has called back several times since then, but I won't answer the phone. These people are crazy.
Foreign guy who doesn't speak English very well - calls my work # and cell - I will be arrested if I don't call back. He says he is David Smith from the Law office of California!!! Very annoying!! Everytime he leaves a message it is a different number!!!
