Like the others, I get these calls regularly. Sometimes I respond nicely, sometimes not so much (though I don't curse or raise my voice). I received a call today and the man cut me off and said 'shut up, you sound like a [***]'. I just submitted a message through Hilton.com, but I'm sure nothing will come of it.
I received a call from this number. The caller said he was from Hilton VIP and I was being called because of places we have stayed in the past. He listed various all-inclusive vacation locations throughout the world that are available for us to purchase for a vacation. After trying varying techniques to get me to agree to buy and me trying to be polite by stating I needed to discuss this with my husband, he says "Boy he has you whipped like a dog" and then hung up on me. I tried to call the number back several times but kept getting a busy signal. We plan to notify Hilton to let them know this type of scam is occurring using the Hilton brand without specifically using the Hilton name.
Yet another call from Hilton VIP Vacations. I repeatedly ask them to stop calling because these calls are against my company's AUP for my company-provided cellular phone. As soon as I say that, they hang-up on me. Yet they call me over and over and over from different telephone numbers to evade my call block, and they try to get me to buy some absolutely free and really awesome vacation that I do not want. The calls always start the same: "Hello, <fill in random name here, e.g. 'Kevin'>?" To which I always say "No, There is no <Kevin> at this number". And then they ask to speak to the person most likely to plan my family's next vacation. They are pretending to not be breaking the law against cold-calling to telmarket by pretending to know the person they are calling. So this last time I said "Yeah, Kevin is right here... hold on a second...'hey Kevin, it's for you'..." and they hung up immediately because they do not really have anything to say to a Kevin. IDIOTS!!! SCAMMERS!!! I hope they become infested with pubic crabs!!!
