I called the # back & it was a solicitation for funds for "police officers." I said that I donate locally, he asked again & then said well, thank you for your time perhaps it will work out next time.
Shows as LSAN DA 10 CA, Left no message and when I called the number back it I got a recorded message that sounds like a soliciting organization, they don't say who they are.
it appears to be scammers employed by South Asian call centres to make it look like they originate from L.A., as if you'd trust an L.A. scammer more than one from Pakistan or India. This way they can escape a charge of misrepresenting local police organisations, as they're off-shore and can't be prosecuted.
