This is Glenn from SCONA, Soccer Clubs of North America. We spoke on the phone yesterday briefly...Well actually you did all the talking. Anyway, just to let you know what our company is about. We are looking for coaches/scouts in the Florida area to head a youth soccer team and participate in an internation tournament which takes place in Spain at the end of March and start of April.
The tournament is into its 27th year with over 400 teams participating in it. It is a paid position for the coach where his or her trip is paid for plus daily per diem. SCONA has a philosophy of focusing on positive life experiences for the kids and not a "win at all costs" outlook. The coaches we are looking for would need to be positive role models for the children with the ability to provide them with a memorable experience as well as taking on a role as a positive influence in their lives.
Now I must tell you Keith, or should I call you Steve as you called yourself yesterday on the phone before making outrageous accusations about our company being a scam. I don't believe you are the type of coach we are looking for to fill this position and to be honest I am quite concerned about the way you handled the telephone conversation. Your personality reflects on how you treat individuals. If this is how you treat a complete stranger I could only imagine your coaching methods. Needless to say it is quite alarming, and I really hope someone in your organization will review how you behave on the field with the children you coach to make sure you do not treat them the same way you treated me on the telephone. I for one hope you have a little more common sense than that and behave in a little more civilized manner.
I hope this answers anyone's questions in regards to our organization. We are a new oranization and we are focusing on promoting soccer both in and outside of North America. As you may or may not know, soccer is much more popular in most other countries. It is our mandate to promote youth soccer within both the United States and Canada, providing the kids with positive life experiences at home or overseas...
