They called today on behalf of 'smalltimes' magazine/e-zine (nanotechnology). I had signed up for their free magazine. They depend on magazine advertising so they want to know details about subscriber's interests for their advertisers. So she asked about 10 questions directly related to my nanotechnology interests and no personal details except email address. This is completely normal and expected. The speaker sounded philippine (filipina). God those girls are sweet. Not always gorgeous or tall, but unbeatable in kindness, friendliness, innocence, and sweetness. Probably about the only country that looks up to the U.S.
Called. I didn't pick up since I don't know anyone in the 213 area (LA). I see that it is Small Times Magazine (nanotech). I have taken their publication for a couple of years because the insitution I'm at is involved in the field, but I recently cancelled. I'm sure they are trying to get me to re-up my subscription.
They call my office but do not leave a message. Today they must have pushed "0" and got an admin who tried to forward them to me, but they got VM and did not leave a message. According to my admin they told her "this is an important long distance call".
Received a call from 213 943 5214 on my cell.Called them back. No answer. Who are these clueless [***]? I'm writing to the FCC right now. Get some BALLS and sell to me using a real number!
