called me twice today in NYC and left messages on my answering machine; total scam; don't give them anything; see I. S. above to report this to the real IRS
I received 2 voice messages from the number to call immediately regarding tax problem. They were computer generated voices. Thanks for the information and searching the google site.
US Treasury Fraud (tax) Have no idea what they are talking about. I called the number back here in Los Angeles and a guy answered "Treasury Dept" I said Treasury Dept huh? he then hung up the phone right away. I'm blocking.
US Dept of Treasury called and left a message--the voice was computerized and foreign. When I called back, there was a voicemail and the man spoke with an accent.
