Foreign accent asking me about my alarm system.  Made that a very short conversation.

Called 10.31.15 at 1258 hours. Didn't answer; no voice mail. Won't answer the telephone if I don't recognize the number.

For everyone: if you don't recognize the number--or if it comes in as "unknown" or similar--ignore it!  Let it roll to voice mail.  If it is a real, legit caller, they'll start to leave a message, the you decide if it is a legit caller.

If everyone will just not answer any of these spam callers, they won't have anyone to harass.

BTW--the prefix "116" (as in 214-116-5485) is not a legit prefix in 214 or anywhere else in the USA.
