Just had a call from a good friend of mine. He was told that his name was on some contact list of mine and that he was contacted by these people and my full legal name was given along with the same message you guys and I have received. The most upsetting part is that I have never given out this person's name or phone number. He was given 888-281-1916 to call back. The same as given here. FOR MY FRIEND TO BE CONTACTED IS THE ANOMALY THAT UPSETS ME MOST.
(214) 200-4444 called my cell phone and advised that I was being sued for personal damages and that I should call a toll free number and reference a case number or to expect the sheriff to show up with papers. She didn't provide a company name, her name, or what it was in reference to.
Same number contacted a family member of mine and requested I verify social security #... I refused. No names of person calling given but answering message says it's Atlantic Processing... No such place exist
A family member of mine was contacted and given both of our legal names... she was told she is listed as a contact for me and that did either one of us receive litigation papers. They were supposedly a debt collector and left a' "claim along with a 888-281-1916 phone # to call back. When called back one woman answered and it sounded exactly like same woman I was transferred to. I gave Claim # and they asked me to verify my social security #... I refused and said I wanted to know what claim was pertaining to. The woman refused to give me information even though I had supposed claim #. I didn't give any info, said I thought they were a scam and informed them I'm going to report them. They also wouldn't give name of person calling except Atlantic Processing... When I researched numbers and company it appears no such place exist!!!
