In Feb of 2014, this person claimed to have property for rent at 1293 Helliwell Street NW, Palm Bay, FL 32907. This person sent me a series of unprofessional/antagonistic text messages after I inquired about the property via a web site called Hotpads.com. The text messages went like this:
Them: "Home still available and for rent" (Note: this is not what I asked nor is it useful information since I replied to their ad)
Me: "Who is this and what property? Please call me. Thanks." (By now I've looked at a lot of properties so getting a text from an unidentified caller who provides zero information, including their name, does me no good. Also, I don't have a smart phone and was in the car, running errands, away from a computer, etc.)
Them: "Sorry your number show UT which area are you looking to move into?"
At this point, I call the number and an outgoing automated message instructs me to speak my name in order to be *possibly* connected to the Google Phone/Voice customer. Google Phone? That's a free service, and anonymous to boot. But I call, identify myself, explain that I've shopped for a lot of houses and would appreciate a call back since I'm on the road and don't know which property they are talking about. Then I text them back.
Me: "Please call me. Just left u a voice mail."
Them: "Which area are you looking to move into? Will call you back soon am at work"
Me: "Call me when ur off work. I'm driving."
Me: "U have heard of relocation right?"
Them: "Yes i will call you, answer my question so i knew we are on same page, which area are you looking to move into?"
Me: "No longer interested. U r too difficult. I inquired about a specific property and if u cant keep track of that then forget it"
Them: "Am not difficult i just want to know what state you looking to move into that all am simple man"
Me: "Stop harassing me"
Them: "Get lost"
When I returned home, this person had replied to my inquiry via the HotPads site and used a return email address of

I have the keys here with me i am renting myself not dealing with the agent anymore, i can mail it to you and secure the house for you asap, do you have good credit and reference?the deposit is 1000 the lease will be for 1 year with an option to renew it do you have work and landlord references and you can provide pay-stub?the house is in a perfect condition.If anything goes wrong with the pipe or anything just contact me i will make arrangement for repair.Call me at 2147167463.

Needless to say, I'm not interested in dealing with a person who is probably a scammer.
