I got a call from a collector about a pay day loan that i did 14 yrs ago, I thought I paid but times were tough and my mom was dying and moved back to help her..I told the guy I am unemployed and now father and boyfriend just died and can't pay...a little later I get a call from this number telling me complaint has been filed with my drivers license number and and to push a line to connect...something just didn't feel right about it all so looked up the number and seeing these other post about and not sure I want to call it back now
I received a call on a Friday from this # 214-269-5190 at my job. I answered the phone and they asked for me. they identified themselves as Four Star Resolution when I called the number back. but not when they called me.
They are a debt collector and threatened to have my wages garnished if I didn't pay over $1,000 for a pay day loan i had in 2006. When I asked for their contact information so that I can forward that to my attorney... they said they did not have time for that and to expect to be served at work by Monday.

I was wondering how this turned out for you, they called me after I spoke from someone on a pay day loan from 14 yrs ago, I don't remember not paying one but my mom was dying and I couldn't work so who knows, but after I talk to the guy another call came with a recording telling me a complaint has been filed, something was strange about it all and got a bad feeling with it and decided to see what I could find on the number, and saw your post..
In the UK, we have time limits on debt collection. Check the legislation in your state? I would imagine that your debt is unenforceable after all this time. These parasites hope that you won't be aware of this!
