Supposedly, this is from 1st credit services ... the id shows a free 866 or 800 number. When they call our number, they're looking for someone who lived here at least 2 years ago...they were evicted, according to the property management firm. The police have been here looking for the same person. I got the calls stopped for awhile but now they've started again. I sure hate to go thru all this again! I have a debilitating disorder that makes my life miserable enough with them to contend with, too. BTW, their out-going message sort of messes up at the end when giving the call-back number, so I wasn't sure about the "8" in the last 4 digits but that has to be what they say. From previous experience w/people calling for this person, I surmise that it is a debt collector.
Angel is right. It is a debt collector who will stop at nothing - 'cuz anything you do will only confirm you are a live number. Just try to get off their listing. They are always looking for somebody other than you, and the easiest thing to do is go to your phone service, sign in, and block the number. (They change their number eventually.)
Got a call on my work number as a local call. Caller stated his name was Robert Owens and needed to confirm my date of birth about a business matter. I refused to speak with him as the number he called is a business only line and asked for a number to call back to. He gave me 800-392-4029 ext 2107 and the business name is Accounts Recovery Technologies.
