The name on my caller i.d. was V33117205400194. I think I saw on another 800notes page that a V is for Voip, but I'm not sure what that means. I do know that it is not a legitimate call, so I didn't answer it and blocked it with my Phone Tray Pro. The number on the caller i.d. was 214-275-9522. That's a Dallas area code. I'll check back later to see if there are any other reports on this #.
You are correct! I, too, block calls without a second thought! No legitimate caller i.d. name, no answer!
Of course, I do get messed up with the 800-service calls since some of the businesses I do interact with seem to favor this stupid caller i.d. I have to admit I will answer the 800-service calls - sometimes legit calls, sometimes bogus. Who can tell these days? I wish legitimate callers would drop this annoying caller i.d. and identify themselves properly!
