They left a message but I called back before she had a chance because I was expecting some sort of call because I talked to a guy last week and answered an email a few weeks saying I would like to participate.
Got a call from this number on my cell phone. The caller was a woman who said they were calling from something like the "Murphy Center" or "Murray Center" doing market research. She called once and I did not answer, then immediately called a second time. The call came from a landline in an office building.

not a scam.
i have gone there before. they pay well.
typically a 2 - 4 hour study. pays up to $100 or more for your opinion. purpose of the call is for screening
if you haven't heard from them before, a friend likely gave out your number.
