Received a call, wanted "Anna" then wanted me to verify my last 4 SS#s; threatened to file a 1099c against me with the IRS regarding a Discover card bill from 1988, 26 years ago. I paid the Discover account in early 1986, never used the card after that, do not have a Discover card today, and have NOT had one for 26 years. Statute of Limitations is either 5 or 10 years depending on state; that is 16 to 21 years past the statute. This is a scam, they cannot collect on anything legally, but they harass you and try to intimidate you to send them money. BTW, I asked them for an address, they said they do NOT have a mailing address. WATCH THESE JERKS, THEY ARE SLICK, THEY ARE FRAUDULENT, THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED !!

Male caller asked for person by first name/not professional - when I replied this company name& could I help, he said, 'oh, sorry wrong number'....sounded like scam bill collector.
