Scam call purportedly from the American Heart Association. Know it isn't them because I've blocked every number they've called from before and still get calls. If it was legitimately the AHA, they wouldn't keep changing numbers. Another piece of [***] scammer posing as the AHA to get your credit card information. Apparently there are still enough morons in this country that feel they have to answer every call that comes to their phone that these guys feel it worthwhile to stay in business.
I have been receiving call from this number and other 214 numbers. It says they are American Heart Association. I have received at least one a day for over a month. I finally picked it up and told them to stop calling the number. Then they called twice. I contacted the American Heart Association and told them to remove my name tonight. We will see if it works.
Why isn't there a "Scammer' selection under Call Type? Anyway, they called about 2:15 PM today, and actually did leave a message. They pretended to be the IRS and a very nice robo-girl informed me that a lawsuit has been filed against me and an arrest warrant has already been issued under my name. Oddly enough, it seems that I can clear the whole thing up by just pressing 1 to speak to the officer in charge, or by calling them back. Gosh, they make things so easy. The number they gave was 209-813-2079. If you are not already aware that the IRS will NEVER initiate contact by phone, look up that number on 800notes and read the response by CWG40.
