they called me and told me if i didn't pay them they would prosecute me with 2 counts of fraud about a pay day loan. they also told me the only way i could pay them was with a credit card. then when i called them back this morning and asked for michael thomas the man who so called called for me the woman said there was no michael thomas there and then i told her that's funny because i just talked to him yesterday. then she said hold on and i was on hold for 5-10 minutes until someone got on the phone!! so beware!!!!
got a call from this number out of Texas a female spoke and gave a case number as she called it. I asked what the call was about she said a pending investigation.
keep getting a call from this number, saying they want to serve me with papers. Says she is based out of Rochester, NY. Only this is an area code from Texas. Woman says her name is Mrs. Somers.
I keep getting calls from this number. They leave a message claiming that they have a legal claim filed with the county attorney where I live. I have called the county attorney's office and they have no idea who these peole are and advised I file a complaint with the FTC.

These people are calling about legit debts, but are scammers. The all call themselves Mr. or Mrs. ..... you wont get their full name. They told a family member I had a $4000 debt but If I paud they would lower it to $2000. Then when I called they were offering it at $1250, then said they coluld call ther lender and get approval to lower it to $1000 could I pay today???. I advised her (Ms. Summers) that I recently checked my credit report and the account in question was "sold to another lender" and charged off as bad debt. She said they were a law firm and the creditor retained them to go after me, I told her she was lying because I saw it on my report.
