received a call from this number. Automated message said was calling from CSI for an employee and that they had tried calling numerous times. Well sorry we don't take personal phone messages and unless you're willing to have an actual person call us, I don't talk to machines. Just love these companies that use letters as their business name.
I have been receiving calls from 214-310-0378 also. When I answer they hang up. I have tried to call back to see who keeps calling. If I use the caller ID # a recording comes on that states "We'er sorry, we are unable to complete your call as dialed; dial 1 or 0 first then the area code and telephone number." I agree with Hobby Lady that the DO NOT CALL REGISTER is not effective in stopping callers such as these and other Telemarketing Callers from calling your home telephone numbers and even your Cellular Phone. I have signed up and registered both my Home Phone Number and Cellular Phone Number numerious times, but these callers keep calling.
The DNC does not block calls of any kind. It's just a list. It doesn't determine what calls you want and which ones you don't want. There is no mechanical device to monitor calls. It's a List. Scammers, the unlawful and anyone else who chooses to call you will call regardless of whether your name is listed or not on the DNC. The FTC would need a 50,000 man army to run down every scammer and spoofed caller that calls people who is on the list. It is to keep the honest businesses who purchase and honor the list.....honest, or else they get fined if enough people report them. The FTC can easily locate them. They are businesses with permanent established phone numbers and physical addresses. Scammers, thieves, crooks, and the call spoofers pretending to be businesses do not have these attributes, nor do they have a respectable reputation or consumer based recurring business to protect. A good rule of thumb on how well the DNC actually does work, just consider all of the telemarketing calls from all of the millions of legitimate businesses in America that you DO NOT receive. Not just the ones that you do. A STOP signs only works for the lawful or those fearful of getting a traffic ticket.
Nothing is perfect, especially in anything that is based on the honor system. Just look at the people in our Government at all levels today. There is more honor in a whorehouse. In society today, it seems that honor does not exist...yet the DNC functions fairly well, not perfect, but fairly well based upon businesses honoring the system and the peoples request not to call.
That is an excellent discussion of the Do Not Call registry. And for that matter, our current government! Sad that effectively, the DNC registry has no real teeth, except in the case of otherwise honest callers (and even that is suspect - I get calls from ADT often even though I've asked them to remove me and have filed a formal complaint with the FTC). I've often thought that the DNC facilitated some calls by providing a list of known-working telephone numbers to those same scammers that we'd like to stop! The lawless, by definition, do not abide by laws.
Just got a call from this #. Hate sales calls and this was on my cell phone.
In answer to the willam a reid. Some people don't care to run for phone to answer JUNK calls.
I'm retired but I have a life, Plenty to keep me busy without answering calls I don't want , Or being awakened at 7:00 am if I happen to want to sleep late sometime. I Earned IT. I worked for 54 years before I decided to take life easy.
