I got a call to , i applied for a movie and tv role and 6 hours later i got a call stating i would get another call in 2 weeks for them to get to know me, i called the number back and a nice lady answered and i asked about my file i gave her my name and she said the same thing, that a call is going to be made.
I did research and by sounds of it seems like a prereading but i haven't gotten a email from anyone yet around any information regarding dialog or char details. I did how ever look up my own just in case they do call and don't become prepared. No one has asked me for money in fact i live out of town so they are kind enough to sort out a phone interview.
I am a bit skeptical because i can not find any information on this site other then there being no registered complaints, so if any of you have been through this process i would really like to know how it happens, i applied as a joke with a normal generic head shot and got a call 6 hours later so you can see why i'm a bit iffy about it.
Yep they just called me. i thought I was signing up with a group to do walk ons on TV, but they keep saying it was an application for modelling, even though I keep correcting them. I just told them to forget about.
a. I didn't like the wya the number came up as unlnown, and
b. The phone hey were calling me on kept cutting in and out, not a good sign of someone professional.
Some how they got my son's name and said they want to meet with us about modeling for him. I remember a few years back going to a modeling site I don't know if it's the same one didn't hear anything till now. The woman left her name and telephone number in Dallas for us to call her back on.
This is a common "sorta" scam. There are small-time talent agencies out there and some affiliate themselves with "C" list celebs or even the relatives of celebs who run talent auditions at shopping center malls etc--a million variations. What they try to do is sucker in as many people as possible to get them to sign up, then spend money on photos, representation etc. They are not totally crooked, but the vast majority of people signing up never get beyond sending them a check. If you are really good looking enough to be seriously considered for modeling or acting, they'll be offering to pay you.
