Who called from 2143294714

My girlfriend received a call from this # from someone who claimed to be speaking with dispatch and trying to confirm our address. They said that she had taken out a loan in 2012 (which she didn't) and they were going to contact our new bank to freeze all accounts and that if she didn't pay it was going to court as a felony charge. When she asked them for his position/title, he began to say that she was being rude and needed to calm down. When she asked again he said she was being loud, (I was beside her and she wasn't), and when she asked who he worked for again and for his info he raised his voice and hung up. She then called back and the guy said he was a different guy (same voice), said she had amnesia and was being vulgar and yelling on the earlier call (she was professional and scared, never vulgar. I was beside her the whole time and the call was on speaker). The second call also ended with them hanging up on her. We contacted local police and they said this is a scam to get money out of people and they use the scare tactic. Typically they try to get people to pay through moneymart etc so it's not traced easily and the cash is immediately available.

I got the same call and this man was very southern and told me to give him a credit card over the phone for $334 or the Orange County Sheriff's office would come to my job, take me into custody and take me to central booking and process me and that I had commited fraud.  He said to give him a credit card or pre-paid card and he would then give it to the attorney at hand to process and make this all go away.  He called me at my job and claims to be Officer Ostein from Orange County Sheriffs office and I called HR with Orange County Sheriffs Office and they have NO officer by this NAME!  It's a horrible scare tactic and not worth the time of day.
