Did not recognize name or number, so I let it go to voice mail. No message was left. Called the number with *67 to block my information, and a female answered. I hung up. Not sure if it was a misdial on her part or a telemarketer. Oh well.
Got a call and did the same thing that the previous poster did, *67 and called back. I asked her what it was about and she said they are picking up clothes and toys for the arthritis foundation. Maybe it's just me but would the foundation itself call you vs. some random home owner? For all know they are collecting stuff and reselling it or donating on their behalf for a tax right off. I think I would rather donate our stuff to a foundation I know is legit. Just my thoughts.
many charities get volunteers to call about donations from their homes. So it's probably legit. But you could call the arthritis foundation and find out if she works for them before agreeing to donate
