Got a call on my cell phone from this number this afternoon. It's a Dallas area number, apparently owned by Exterran, a natural gas compression company or something, however the call I got was not from them. They left a voice mail which went something like "Hi this is Ashley Martin, we spoke on the phone last week about possibly lowering your interest rates. We know you're only making the minimum payments on your credit card bills, we can get your interest rate down to 1.5%. This will be my last courtesy call. Call us back at 1-8xx-xxxx" (don't remember the number and I deleted the voicemail) It's an obvious scam call, probably targeting the elderly who may have forgot that they spoke with someone the week before, or maybe someone who thinks "I didn't speak to anyone last week, but I am making only the minimum payments on my credit cards, maybe I should call back." I'm actually pretty sure I got the same call from the same person, or at least a similar sounding person with a similar name, a few months ago too, maybe it's a recording.
