I received the same call from two numbers, 1 - 214 -377- 0340, and from 1 707 809 5030. Both calls were pre-recorded messages threatening you with an arrest from the IRS. After a few days they did follow up with another phone call, where basically they wanted you to deposit cash in a specific account. They will ask you not to talk to anyone and follow their instructions. They give their own names as American names, but their voices sound like Indians or Pakistanis. I reported them to the TIGS website to the IRS where there is also a toll-free number where you can call to report them. Like that wasn't enough, I went directly to the IRS office and explained the situation to an IRS offices, and she explained to me that the IRS would never call me. So, if anyone of you have received a phone call from these Indian or [***] scumsters, pieces of sh8t, you now know what to do.
Person claimed to be Officer Jacob Edward badge number IRS7861 and that i am being investigated for tax fraud on investigation for tax filed 2009-2014 and owe $3455.75. if not paid immediately then officer would be at my door within an hour to arrest me.
