got this call from my ''grandson" supposedly in jail, needing 22k to get out. So I played alone they gave me lots of info which I forwarded to bank and police. This LOL was on to them.
I received a call from this number on my cell phone on the way to work. I had the radio on and wasn't expecting a recording, so I missed part of the information. It said something about fraud and pushing 1 to either activate to deactivate my something. The strange thing is, I received a new ATM card in the mail from my bank that said they had received information that my card information may have been exposed so they were issuing a new one to be safe?
I am fwd this response but, I did NOT Verify the Link below so, be careful....
I received 4 calls early this morning (around 7:00 am EST) from this number. I answered the first call but hung up when they asked for my bank information. I then looked up the number online and found this site. Just now on the local evening news they reported that this is a phishing scam that targeted hundreds of people in my area this morning, claiming their ATM card had been compromised and trying to get the card number and PIN number.
