Calls all the time and never says anything. I called back late at night and the recording picks up and says its a company called "BCR" and then tries to transfer me to the next available account specialist. I'm sure its some kind of collection agency. I get calls from another number that comes up on the caller ID as BCR as well and I know its a collection agency.
This number calls everyday. No clue who it is, but I send it to my answering machine and they always hang up and never say anything, so oh well. The Do Not Call List is such a joke now. People get around it and there are no repercussions at all for it. Best thing to do is just get an answering machine and let it do the business for you, thats why they make them.
This is from BCR - "Bureau of Collections". They called our office number from (214) 390-2795. I answered with a "hello" since I didn't recognize the number, never confirming my identity. When he asked if I was the person he was calling, I asked him who he was and with what company. At first he gave his name as "Armand with BCR" then when I asked for the full name of the company he asked if his caller ID showed up. (Duh!) I said no (lol). He said this is "Armand with the Bureau of Collections" (I guess that was supposed to intimidate, a "bureau" and all that) lol, then he said that the person he was calling could call (877) 788-1064 and speak with any operator that answered. Now since I didn't confirm I was the person he was calling, can we say privacy violation? Calling a place of employment and leaving such a message? Wow. I told my friend who they were trying to reach that she should file an FTC complaint if they keep it up. Idiots.
