Called at 9:07AM. Caller ID says Dallas TX. We've been getting a lot of the FOP calls lately. I've heard two cents out of every dollar goes to the widows of slain officers. I'm thinking that estimate is high.
My caller was out of Utah. When I told him we prefer to donate directly so that ALL money goes to the correct people, he still wanted to send out a packet with a sticker showing support for only $10. Told him no, he asked why... he got an earful & ended up hanging up on me. ha
Texas Fraternal Order of Police is a Union! Caller was very much misrepresenting himself as he told me it benefits fallen officers, their families, etc...
One of these people just called me claiming that I had "made a pledge" to donate to their bogus charity. I cut him off and told him that I had no such contact. This kind of crap really bugs me and the ought to be held accountable.
