I received a call just now from this number saying he is from Microsoft so I asked him some technical question on which software and I said I have Intel security installed in my computer he did not have an answer. He just hung the phone.
I got a call from a man with an Indian accent. He said he was from Microsoft services or something along the lines of that. He said my computer had really bad viruses that my anti-virus didn't kill. he needed me to download this website at www.teamviewer.com so he could show me how bad the viruses were. He wanted me to download something on my computer that would give him access to everything. He could control my mouse and show me the viruses. The whole time I had a bad feeling about this man so instead of downloading the stuff, I asked him where he was from. He told me Oregon. I just kept asking him questions about what company he was from and why he was calling. He then told me he was going to put me on hold and connect me to the supervisor. During him putting me on hold, there was a lot of static and rustling of the phone, so I hung up and immediately got a call back. I didn't answer and as soon as it stopped ringing another call came in this time with the number 214-446-4405 (Dallas, TX). I answered it and he never said hello or introduced himself he said why did you hang up! This was suppose to be the supervisor! I told him that he sounded just like the man I talked to before and he kind of laughed and assured me his name was Daniel. I said well the last man I talked to told me he was in Oregon and this number you called me on was a Dallas TX number. I said I don't want whatever it is your doing and hung up. The first number that called me was "Louis" 2103195026. Then the "supervisors" number was this 2144464405 number so that confirmed my suspicions that this wasn't a real thing.
Ignore these calls! they trick you into running their program, then they steal every bit of vital information ( including credit card info) on your computer!
Had a call from the number above. When I said hello, he asked what business, what name, in a broken English accent. I immediately hung up. Looked it up....Texas? Huh. Hi Way. I'd showed Phillips
I just got the same call. I get a call from these folks from various phone numbers about once a week. I nicely asked the guy to please stop call me. He called me a Mother F'er and an A$$hole and hung up. Yeah, I'd say it is a scam.
