I have my wedding dress on KSL, but the sad thing is I'm selling it to donate the money to a family who's had their daughter at Primary Childrens for over a month. The ad even states I'm selling the dress to donate the funds. A Connie Jacobi from Houston, TX text me from the 762 number saying she was interested in buying my dress and how much would I accept. Luckily, I was suspicious and Googled her number and found your information. I decided to play along and told her $2,000 and she agreed. If/when I receive the check I will be turning it in to the authorities. Hopefully we can catch this person.
I also got a text from Connie "Jaconi" in Houston, phone 405-309-2148 wanting to buy a wedding dress on KSL. She said she would send a check, too, and pay for shipping, so if she does, I'll contact the authorities too - thanks for the heads up
That [***] texted me as well. She freaked out on me because I would only accept certain payment types. Reporting to the police. 405.309.2148 is the number which they contacted me from.
I am also selling a wedding dress on KSL and was contacted by the number 1-405-309-2148 that said they are Connie Jaconi from Houston, TX (and this is an Oklahoma area code) and they sent me a check posted from Robin Hunter at University of Houston ....I saved the USPS Priority Mail envelope and the check is from "Brookdale Senior Living, Inc" in Milwaukee, WI 53214 and it's signed by a name that starts with M something....I am saving all this info and turning it into the police...is that the correct action to take? I called this number and it's a Google voice number that has you state your name before they will connect you and then it rings and says they are unavailable and to leave a message
The number they are texting me from is 762-208-5029. They sent me a check via USPS and it's also from Robin Hunter in Houston, TX. The check is clearly fake, and they keep texting me to see if I've put it in the bank yet but I told them that I'm checking to make sure the check is valid. They insist that it's valid and are now telling me to deduct the money for my wedding dress and an extra $50 for my compensation and stress and the remaining amount should be sent to their mover via Western Union.
