I received a call today on my cellphone telling me an arrest warrant would be out for me tomorrow because I took out a payday loan (over 5 years ago) and I did not pay them back, then my account was closed and they are listing it as Theft and a felony and it can all be stopped if I pay $100 today and $190 by friday and $
500 within 30 days.
They called my cellphone, I'd missed call.....Called back they answered "Check Services", asked for my number & name....Do NOT give them your information HUGE SCAM!!!!! Says they had complaint never stated collector verbage"This is attempt to collect a debt & any information obtained will be used for that purpose"...Most importantly "I do not write CHECKS"....SCAM, SCAM, HANG UP IMMEDIATELY!!!
I called this number back as well and they said something about check fraud - Unless my checks were stolen 10 years again I have no idea what they are talking about. They stated the county has a warrant out on me etc. I hung up.
