This company called me harrassing me in the same way. Told me that I would definitely be put in jail the next morning if I didn't make them a payment. They knew my e-mail address and phone number (two very easy things to find) and would not tell me where they were from. They had me in tears thinking that someone had gotten a loan in my name. I spoke to a few friends and they let me know that this was a scam and that they didn't know certain details or have me verify any information that they would legally need to talk to me about this. Also I have consulted a few websites and found that it is ILLEGAL for them to threaten to have me arrested over the phone, as such thing can only be done by a law enforcement officer. THIS IS A SCAM! Please do not give them any information! They called back a second time and had my social security number, so beware, and let the credit offices know what is going on and that they have a hold of some of your personal information. In the second call they did say that they were from USCash, which when Google searched, does not exist. If this were an official company at all, they would have to verify all of my information BEFORE telling me ANYTHING! They would not legally be able to tell me my social security number, I would have to provide it to them. As I have worked for call centers before, I know that this is a VERY sensitive aspect of the job, and they take privacy laws very seriously. DO NOT give them any information. Let them know that you have spoken to authorities and that they have no intentions of having you arrested and that they know this is a scam and are searching for them. Hope this helps!
This guy that you can't understand has called & harrassed me several times. I hope he can be tracked down & jailed...He is wanting money , curses you & screams at you..He also has the same voice as another caller that has called & demanded money. This one named where I worked and ss # this is scary !!!
This is a scam. They say they are calling from law firm about a law suit filed from American Cash for an unpaid payday loan. They refuse to give the name of the supposed law firm. I work for an attorney myself so I knew the things they were saying were bull. DO NOT give them any money! Even if they threaten you with the police. Contact your local police department and file a report!! This is a scam!
He has called and threatened me, while saying he works for an attorney. I have had these calls before and spoke to a judge regarding this. He told me to tell them to contact the State Prosecuting Attorney (give them his/her name and phone number. I did and did not get any calls for quite some time and today he began again.
This [***] just called me 21 times today. He said the police were going to arrest me at my work tomorrow. My husband called them back and they answered" A law firm" h asked them further questions, the guy said "Don't call back". This is extortion and I hope they get sent to "Pound you in the [***]" Federal prison.
