Here's the answer to all our prayers. I found this on a site I posted a telemarketer's number at. I tried it and it WORKS! I put the tones at the beginning of my phone greeting about three months ago and in the last three weeks have had "ZERO" calls. Whover posted that "THANK YOU, THANKI YOU". Here's what I found:
Telemarketers almost exclusively use autodialers to make their calls. One out of a thousand will have live reps doing the dialing. When these dialers connect (you answer the phone) they first listen for any tones generated. If no tones are detected they then transfer the call to one of the reps in a call center. If the autodialer hears the 3 beeps from dialing a "DISCONNECTED" number, the number that was just dialed is automatically "REMOVED" from their list. Below is a link that has this tone plus the verbal message. You DO NOT need the verbal message. Download or copy the "DISCONNECTED" MP3 or WAV file to your desktop. Create or change the greeting you have when someone calls you and you're not available. At the VERY BEGINNING of your message place the 3 tones (NOT THE VOICE MESSAGE) then continue with your usual or normal greeting. The autodialer will hear the tones and BINGO, your number will be removed since they think it's a disconnected number. DONE. In a few weeks you will be removed from all or most of the lists. Of course you may have to explain the tones to the callers you DO want to speak to but that's a small tradeoff. Pass this info on to anyone you know that gets junk calls or even help post this on these websites. If you continue getting calls after reading this, it's your "OWN" fault! END JUNK CALLS.
Its about time someone does...If you want add me to the list of people who are upset over the harrassing phone calls. They call and ask for my husband and i tell them he is not at home and can i please take a message (they won't ID themselves or nothing) and won't leave a message then within an hour or less they call again and ask for my husband again and once again I tell them same thing. But, most part I quit answering the phone. I am on disability and unable to work due to RA and also I suffer from depression and anxiety and these calls are really getting to me and making me feel anxious way to much. I also requested that they no longer call my phone anymore and to contact my husband by mail only but then last night I spoke to a supervisor (after being hung up on last time I asked to speak to one) and she said that it is my husband that has to tell them that and that they have to receive it in writing before they can stop calling (I think I know my laws), and so today it is a different company name calling but same company. Also, when talking to the supervisor she refused to give me any information and so I told her well the phone is in my name not my husband and we are in process of divorce and I request they stop harrassing me. She told me they can't do that. For the fact I could be lying. (which i was we are not getting divorced). If I end up in the hospital I wonder if I can blame them and make them pay my medical bills?
They are stupid!!!!! Payment is only 394.56 a monthy but I pay them $600.00 a month and they can never find the extra money EVEN when the bank has faxed them the cleared payment, THEY are stupid enough to argue with the bank TIME FOR ATTORNEYS to get envolved. They were warned by the bank to stop arguing with the bank or the Bank would nail them also AND I ALSO AGREE SPEAK ENGLISH, ENOUGH OF OUR CHILDREN INCLUDING 2 OF MINE ARE IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOR THOSE CAMEL [***] [***] IN THE ROAD DITCH, STINKING [***] LAWYERS TIME FOR A CLASS ACTION SUIT
Drvie Financial appears to be used by HSBC to collect debts.
They call day & night as others have posted even if your payment is only 4 days late and even if you have made payment arrangements with HSBC for a delayed payment.
SOLUTION: You must write a cease and desist letter to HSBC which stopped the calls to my wife's cellphone. Now they call the home phone in my name and then my cell. I will send another cease and desist letter to HSBC.
REJECT LIST on your cell phone; Go to the received or missed call, select it, select options, scroll down to "reject list" and add the number to the list.
