This call has called my whole family went into my work looking for me and got pictures off my facebook, he is a fake and a creep what he is searching for has nothing to do with me it has to do with another family member! scary!
Same thing. Harassing friends and family on Facebook! Just to get ahold of me! He's just another repo agent in a suit! Don't listen to him! He's a worthless waste of air!
Same ole. Calling and left a message looking for my sister. I called back because I had no idea who or what this was. Insurance claim for a car, I was listed as a point of contact. What got me curious was the fact that I haven't seen or spoken to my sister in 5 years. Why would I be listed in a claim from 30 days ago? and she certainly wouldn't have my number. Thanks for the info. Will never respond to his calls again.
This Larry Porter has been harassing me for something to do with an aunt that has been divorced from my Uncle for more than 35 years, whom I very rarely see he called me a liar has called my daughter, my daughter in law trying to get info we don't have any knowledge about. How can we stop this and how do they get your phone number?
If you can, get his company name and physical address. Tell him that if he keeps harassing you, your daughter and daughter-in-law, you WILL be seeking legal counsel since he's in violation of the TCPA (Telephone Consumer Protection Act) by repeatedly calling you, even though you are not the person he's looking for and you've told him to stop. Next step - write a cease and desist communications letter (templates on the Internet and also here - www.creditinfocenter.com). Send this letter certified mail/return receipt so he can't say he didn't receive it. If he continues to harass you, I would see a consumer attorney - many work on contingency (if you don't win, you don't pay) and sue him.
Same thing happened to me today. He told me that someone anonymously gave him my contact information in regards to a friend of mine. He called MY WORK. I made it very clear on the phone that I had no intention in being involved in what's going on whatsoever and told him explicitly to leave me out of it. After some investigation, I came across this website. At least now I know who this scammer is and I have no problem filing a harassment report if he persists. He gave me the same line as not being a debt collector. I told him I didn't care who he was and to keep me out of it. The only way he could have gotten my work information was from facebook. Make sure you double check your privacy settings people!
