You may want to be careful when responding to questions such as these. There are some scams that ask pointed questions in order to record certain words that they can edit into a recording of you approving services they never even mentioned. Ended up in court years ago due to the above mentioned scam. Glad your experience was pleasant but I have now taken more than 8 of these calls today alone.
Just like clock work, we got our near-daily phone call from a Local Maps Verification robo-caller around 10 to 11 this morning. Today, this was the number that called. However, today's recorded message was more ominous because it claimed multiple entities flagged our address for verification. Sorry, I'm still not taking the bait.
"Local map verification service saying our entry had been flagged, decided to find out what they were trying to sell and actually got a live person. She was nice/friendly enough and verified the business address and phone number.
Then she asked for some keywords relating to what we do. I told her what our business was and then she wanted me to do some Google Searches with her using keywords and our city name.
After doing 2 searches and our business showing in the results both times, she asked me to hold for a moment, came back 10 seconds later and said everything looked good and pleasantly ended the call.
Might be a scam but wasn't trying to sell anything or get any information that we don't try to include in our advertising and marketing materials, so not sure what the scam would be.
