Recieved this call from a Dallas based location. Phishing for information as to the whearabouts of a friend from long ago. Abviously a collection agency. Became very agressive and threatening when I told them I hadn't seen him in years.
got the same call execpt they are threatening me that if I don't call back that they are going to send paperwork to my home or work... Co-par and Assc. Sounds like a collection co. aka money hounds just trying to get a free paycheck. Screw them
A "Chris" called from this # stating he had "important documents" that he needed to discuss with my husband. He called both of our cell phones leaving this message. He stated that he was calling from Koparr Paralegal Associates (sp.?) and failure to comply would result in these "documents" being sent to my husbands employer and/or home address. Well, my husband called back. The man stated he needed my husbands SSN for an unpaid credit card balance from 9 years ago. We knew it was a scam. We've never had a credit card and have always paid cash. Out of curiosity, my husband asked "Chris" to provide the address and SSN he had on file. "Chris" actually read off a SSN and address that was not my husbands and had never been my husbands. We've lived at our residence for over 10 years now! The man apologized and said he must have been mistaken. End of call. BEWARE!!! DO NOT GIVE YOUR INFO. AWAY TO THIS #. IF THEY ARE LEGIT, THEY'LL SEND THOSE DOCUMENTS TO YOU AND YOU CAN HANDLE IT FROM THERE WITH YOUR LAWYER.
