This guy called to renew a magazine subscription and wanted our credit card number. When my wife refused, he started bullying her and threatened that the subscription would not be renewed if she didnt give the cc#. She said "Fine I'll just renew online". I think the best plan is to keep him on the line for as long as possible, wasting his time for nothing. "Let me see if I can find my cc#..." etc. etc.
I have been called by this 214 number today (a few times) and never picked-up. It was recorded as a missed call and they do not leave a message. I tried to call from a different phone and it stated that the number was disconnected 791.
i missed the call, but i assume these people are correct because i call back and get an out of service, 791 message too....i hope he calls back, this might be fun.
i might sign up for a subscription in my dogs name and make up a credit card number to give him....
Just received a call from this number saying they were from GE alarm and they were doing an install on a neighbors house and asked if I had an alarm system......I just hung up
I also got this call just now. Said he was from GE Security. He had my address. He wanted to know who my security company was. I refused to tell him. He was a bit pushy. I stood my ground. I'm not going to tell a complete stranger what security company I use. No company that I found called GE Security. From earlier posts why would this guy sell security and magazine subscriptions. Sounds like he is phishing.
Just tried to call that number back. Not in service. Hmmmm. How do people do that? Call from a number that really isn't a true phone number? I've been seeing a lot of that lately.Last week someone called from a new york number. The call actually came from Ukraine.
