Recieved a call that started off with very bad small talk - then proceeded to ask who our shop manager was - then asked to speak to the shop manager - i just placed them on hold until they hung up
Got a call from this number this afternoon. Didn't recongize it so I didn't pick up. No voice message was left.
I assume it is the overseas scammer "Rachel" from Card Services trying to "lower my credit card interest rate", but I can't confirm that. For the past year or so I get a call from Rachel every few weeks using a different phone number each time.
"Troy" calls from this number asking for Parts Manager; he does not have a name of a person to ask for and just says "he wants to do some business with us". Will not leave a message despite numerous repeated requests. Finally hangs up. Do we want to do business with you ? NO.
IM A CAR DEALERSHIP PARTS MANAGER...I GET A LOT OF CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER DAILY
THE MORE YOU TELL THEM NOT TO CALL,THE MORE THEY CALL.THEY HAVE BEEN PUT ON HOLD THEY WILL CALL BACK,AND KEEP CALLING THROUGH THE DAY...STOP CALLING!!!!!!!
Phones and asks for the Parts Manager by name (likely doing some prior research on the website). When asked if this is a sales call, they will say no. I've been cold called by enough salesmen over the years to know when someone is full of it. These guys are high pressure scam artists, and will make themselves out to be some important just to get to the manager. Do yourself a favor and hang up on them. They are called "Alliance Automotive Group".
Being in the business as long as I have you can smell these scam parts companies a mile away. They are based out of MN but call came through TX. If that is not shady I don't know what is. They will do anything to try and get your name and ship you stuff you never agreed to.
