Just got this call too. Rang 4 times and then hung up. Second scam call today within 40 minutes, and the day is still young! They're like roaches and vermin--pests that won't go away, and keep multiplying. No way to ever permanently get rid of them.
Answered a call from this number. Heavily accented male asked to speak to my husband by his full first name and horribly mispronounced it. Simple first name too. I said "No". He said "Oh, wrong number" and hung up. Must not be important!
First time, no onw answered. Second time left a blank voicemail. When I finally got someone, in an accent the guy mumbled that I was a mother f**k** under his breath once I said you have the wrong number. Then he said it again and again.
South Asian accented guy probably from India said his company was contacted by IRS and IRS had a pending refund for 2008-2012. Probably a fraudster out to scam people. Add to black list and compain to FCC.

The scammers called me three times claiming to be the IRS filing a lawsuit against me. I can see that they are scammers from the start. The IRS sends letters to audit you, to assess additional taxes owed, and would never make such a phone call about filing a lawsuit. The IRS has powers to collect taxes such as garnishment of wages and filing liens on properties. If a taxpayer has few resources, he or she can file an offer in compromise with the IRS. It does not need to file lawsuits to collect taxes. It's a funny scam to me.
