Drive Financial in TX. Called my unlisted cell phone many times over last three months. Always asking for Angela or Juan or how they could reach them as they gave my name as a reference (not sure they even knew my name).
Finally gave them the number of an ex in Texas for Juan. Seemed to work and have not heard from them for several weeks.
They are calling you because a friend or relative used your name on a reference for a car loan. It is an automated service that asks you a few quick questions (like if you know the individual applying for the loan, etc.) and you hit "1" or "2", etc. depending on the answer. Then it hangs up.
Caller keeps asking for "Allen" and when questioned he hangs up. Call originates from Texas, calling Pennsylvania. This erceiving phone number has been established at the same home for over 50 years and there was never an Allen. Caller won't stop calling.
Caller asked for me by name and informed me I was a "reference" on a credit application. I have NEVER heard of such a person and asked for the person's phone number, she said she could not give me that. I asked her to remove me from his application and not to call again.
