Yes, I just got one. I have exactly the same to report except that the caller claimed that I had won 2nd prize in some contest.. She asked "How does this make you feel?" When I replied "Like it's nonsense," the phone was instantly hung up.
Got a call from 214-653-5555 saying they were a law firm. They said a check for $800,000. would be delivered to our residence on Mon.. Before any more details were given the call dropped. Don't know if they hung up or if there was a tech problem. Don't know why we would be getting such a check. Think this is a scam. Anyone else get a call like this from this number?
The caller claimed to be from a law firm. When he was told that the person he was looking for was not available and that I would be happy to take a message, he hung up.
. Caller said it was "Kevin" from Winston, Barret & Associates regarding a check. When I told him it was 7:45am at a home residents, he said he was calling from Texas. When i asked for the number and told him we would return the call, he hung up.
Upon trying the caller ID number right back, it was a disconnected number
This number called my elderly parents and told them they'd won a sweepstakes and that they needed to send them $1000 to process the $800000 check prior to them releasing the cashiers check. My dad told him to call back in an hour and went to talk to the bank about it. They never called back.
I received a call this am also . I hung up . They said I won 800000 but they needed a check for 100000 to pay taxes before the check could be released.
