Its a collection call from AGA & Associates. Trying to collect a debt from 2001. No that is not a typo. This company spoofs different numbers to show up on caller ID. They use all the same old threats of filing law suits, issuing 1099, garnish accounts, etc. Everything that has been long past the statue of limitations, as well as the issuing of a 1099. According to the IRS web site, then Banks (not a collection agency) has 3 years from write off date to issue a 1099. But they hardly ever do, because they can sell it to collection agency for some change when they write it off. If a 1099 was issued, then the debt sold, (ie that's money collected toward the debt) the 1099 would be in the wrong amount and have to be reissued. Same situation if you ever paid a nickel on the debt, then the 1099 would be wrong. The 1099 is normally used when the issuing Bank (not collection agency) settles an account with you personally and closes it.

They have continued calling from 8:45 AM & every (30) minutes now thru 12:30 PM........ Wrong name as they have been told but it doesn't matter to these idiots!! PATHETIC BS!!!
