I received this call on March 4, 2016. I don't know anyone from Texas but since I was feeling scrappy I answered and received the robotic voice telling me that I had won a $100 gift card from Walmart or Target. I stayed on the line and when the expected man with the Indian accent answered I said, "OH WOW, Raj, I have not heard from you for so long. How have you been!" He did not know what to do. After stumbling all over his tongue, he was able to offer me the gift card. I said, " $100 bucks! I need that! My cat is really sick and throwing up and I can't take him to the vet but now I will have the money!" He said," No no no it is a gift card". I said "Yes yes yes! Can I use it at the vet?" He said" No No no". I said" But see see see, I need $100 bucks so just send me a check instead so I can take care of this vomit problem" He said, "No No No its a gift card". I said, Okay Okay Okay I will just sell it, then I will be able to get my cat to the vet, By the way, do you know the best way of cleaning up cat vomit"?. He said, No no no, you need to send me $5.95 for the card." I said, "You said it was free, so how come it is 5.95?" He said, "For mailing it" I said, "Okay okay okay, Raj, a stamp costs about 46 cents so how come its 5.95?" He said," Its for activation". I said," Wait, my bank does not charge anything for activation so just send me a check for $100 bucks so I can get my cat to the vet, Raj." He said, "Wait, my name is Alan". I said, "No you sound like my friend Raj from high school and only he would offer me $100 bucks. So just sent it to me and we can take care of this cat problem. What, you don't like cats?. Ooops, he hung up! I wonder why. That was fun. I have found they usually don't call back. I blocked the number anyway..
