A robocall saying my number was selected to receive complementary stay at Marriot Hotel. Don't know if it's legit. Suspicious because similar to my number and 214 area code usually cell phone number.
It is a scam. I suspect that someone was spoofing their Caller ID to avoid their real phone number. Calls that appear to come from your same area code and prefix are likely a scam operation. The best thing to do is to ignore these calls.
